Hello there and welcome! I am a professional dive instructor, photographer and biologist who enjoys nothing more than sharing my passion and knowledge for the ocean with the rest of the world. Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, I have always been drawn to the outdoors and intrigued by nature and its inner workings.

It was while pursuing my undergraduate degree in biology at East Carolina University where my passion gave way to an intrigue of photography. During school I often found myself in the company of photographers. This is where I learned a great deal about the art before buying my first dSLR at the age of 21.  I knew this was the perfect way to show others the spectacular things nature shows us everyday.

After college I moved abroad to complete a few PADI scuba diving certifications. As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with specialty certifications in deep diving, wreck diving, U/W photography, and whale shark awareness, I am further enabled to share my love and philosophy for the oceans and outdoors.

Today you can find me in living in San Diego, CA. I still spend as much time as I can in Cabo San Lucas in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico. It is the Baja where I have grown to be truly fond of the humpback whales of Los Cabos, which can be seen breaching and putting on a show every year from December to April. During these months I spend almost everyday on the ocean photographing and spending as much time as possible with the "gentle giants" of the sea.

I have been published in both local and international publications including Destino Magazine, The London Times and the Daily Mail.

Everyday I continue to shoot nature photography and work as a scuba instructor, ultimately working to perfect my craft and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Join me on my journey.
